Going to the beach in Florida on winter and spring break is more than just trying to find parking spots and a place to tan in your local spots that are now crowded by new commers. The fact that you now have to swim past annoying kids , see third degree sunburns, hear the horrible accents, and worst of all see people boogie boarding from ages 2 to 70.

Our local beaches get taken over by foreign beasts every school brake and it is horrible. Boogie boards have been concidered throw away boards, a floating device, and even something people put there dogs on, all thanks to the tourists that invade our coasts. The cheap boards are found in every tourist shop that lines the coast and even goes as far to be in every Walgreens and CVS in Florida, with there cheap nature it is easy to pick one up for a one time use of floating or attempting to body board while on brake.

Boogie boarding is actually pretty intense. From 12 foot drops, barrels that brake on top of you and swells that only they can shred, there is no question there is actually a huge following and a league of there own. They use these boards only to propel them selfs faster through the water. all of there tricks are based off of there core and body movements. To surf, you stand on top of a wave and shred the top. Body boarding or Boogie boarding you use the wave to get huge jumps in order to do flips or you get barreled. Barrels are tubes that the wave makes so you can go into. Barrels are moving rooms with walls of water, a scene only the bible and mythical scenes portray. Unfortunitly finding barells that you can actually stand up in and ride are so close to none that surfers only find these dream waves on rare occasions. Boogie boarders are much more lucky. Finding barrels that only need to fit a person laying down is a lot more common and there for you still carry the thrill that surfers only hope to find on a much more common scene.
